What is the Bahá’í Faith?

Founded a century and a half ago, the Bahá’í Faith is today among the fastest-growing of the world’s religions. With more than five million followers, who reside in virtually every nation on earth, it is the second-most widespread faith, surpassing every religion but Christianity in its geographic reach. Bahá’ís reside in more than 100,000 localities around the world, an expansion that reflects their dedication to the ideal of world citizenship.

The well-being of mankind, its peace and security, are unattainable unless and until its unity is firmly established.

Bahá’u’lláh says that we not only can, but that it is Divinely ordained that we do. The disease of our time is disunity. Only after humanity has overcome it will our social, economic, political, and other problems find solution.
 
Today, several million people around the world are discovering what He means. We invite you to explore the message of Bahá’u’lláh and the Bahá’í Faith  with us.

Baha'i Prayer for America

 

O Thou kind Lord! This gathering is turning to Thee. These hearts are radiant with Thy love. These minds and spirits are exhilarated by the message of Thy glad-tidings. O God! Let this American democracy become glorious in spiritual degrees even as it has aspired to material degrees, and render this just government victorious. Confirm this revered nation to upraise the standard of the oneness of humanity, to promulgate the Most Great Peace, to become thereby most glorious and praiseworthy among all the nations of the world. O God! This American nation is worthy of Thy favors and is deserving of Thy mercy. Make it precious and near to Thee through Thy bounty and bestowal.
